Treffer: Collision Compatibility Optimization of Battery Electric Vehicles Based on MPDB Impact Test.
Weitere Informationen
To improve the safety performance of battery electric vehicles and fulfill the 5-star safety requirements of China-New Car Assessment Program (C-NCAP) 2024 edition, designed two frontal impact load paths for a newly developed electric vehicle, proposed the optimal design strategy. Optimized the vehicle structure based on simulation and analyzed the correlation of simulation and vehicle test through structural deformation and compatibility penalty. The result showed that the vehicle's peak acceleration decreased from 56.2 g to 35 g and the compatibility penalty decreased from 2.15 points to 1.28 points; the coincidence of the penalty between test and simulation was 93.4%; optimization about the accessories of the front beam and the sliding path of the subframe helped to reduce the compatibility penalty in MPDB impact test. Finally, based on the characteristics and requirements of MPDB test, four key optimization proposals were proposed to help promote a harmonious traffic environment between large and small vehicles.
