The "Intelligent Access Control System for Safety Critical Areas in Industries" is an innovative solution designed to improve safety and access control in industrial environments. Traditional manual checks for safety gear, like helmets, often lead to errors. This project accomplishes the check through a camera using object detection to identify objects. Using Python programming, it checks in real time the compliance of mandatory safety gear items. Beyond safety checks, the system uses RFID cards for attendance tracking and access control procedures to make administrative work easier. The NodeMCU platform coordinates the communication between the camera, RFID cards, and the backend system, hence making all the decisions in real-time. Only personnel who pass the safety check and possess a valid RFID card have access to the key areas. The system automatically denies access if a violation of safety is reported that might prevent a worker from wearing helmet.
