Microwriter Systems PLC announce Agenda A Model 2 giving this typing-machine with-a-difference more user clout. Microwriter is the pocket word processor with the funny five key operation on which one uses letter patterns rather than identified alphabet keys. The new model for those of us who can master it for our note taking during interviews, work study surveys and the like, has a 128K memory and features such as a diary with alarm reminders, calculator and database, word processing software and communications with any IBM or Apple-Mac PC. The new model also can also have its memory split between up to four users, none of whom can access the others' work and password facilities deny a person finding the gadget to see what one has entered about them. Notepads and clip boards are not so discreet. There is also a better real-time search system which starts narrowing things down as each letter of the file name is entered so that, as with such facilities on larger computers, the file is found after only three or four letters have been entered.
