This section provides an update on several developments in the U.S. insurance industry as of June 1983. The Kemper Group has introduced comprehensive insurance coverage for electronic business equipment. The Business Electronic Equipment Policy provides up to $250,000 all-risk coverage for loss or damage to equipment such as computers, typesetting machines, electronic cash registers, word processors and their peripheral equipment. It also covers active data processing media--disks and tapes--used to store important information. On the other news, Lloyd's of London Press Ltd., a wholly owned publishing subsidiary of The Corp. of Lloyd's and Business Research Publications Inc., has announced the formation of a jointly owned affiliated company, LLP Maritime & Business Publishing Inc. The new company will develop seminars, newsletters and data-based publications addressing cargo movements, marine insurance, admiralty law and the aviation industry. Meanwhile, the Commission on Professional and Hospital Activities (CPHA) has announced the formation of CPHA Financial Service Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary specializing in the analysis of hospital equipment financing. The new division will provide consulting services for hospital equipment acquisition.
