Because organizing floor plans for major trade shows can be frustrating, Cahners Exposition Group developed a microcomputer-based drafting software package that creates easily modifiable floor plans and serves as the basis for color-coded maps pointing persons to the booths of specific exhibitors. The system uses an IBM PC-XT running AutoCAD 2 drafting software enabling the show producer to sidestep the manual floor layout procedures of typesetting, pasteup and proofreading.
