The article emphasizes triviality of mastering programming languages. Combining two languages is a useful strategy as clients and servers become equal partners. But it is still a challenge to keep track of the subtleties of programming languages. This is complicated by the fact that each language has its own virtual machine and its own libraries--the edifices of reusable code that are delivered as the core Java and .Net class libraries. But there is a possibility for two languages to share common .Net services. Such an arrangements would make things easier, especially if the shared engine were ubiquitously deployed both server-side and client-side.
