In this work, the full-wave simulator CST Microwave Studio is employed to implement a virtual simulation of the vortex waves in order to provide the students with an intuitive understanding of the basic concepts. The experiment used the full-wave simulator CST as a visualization tool to demonstrate the students the abstract and difficult propagation phenomenon of the vortex wave. In addition, by post-processing the simulation results with Python language, an intuitive teaching effect could be obtained, which is conducive to the students' mastery of the basic concepts, understanding the current frontier of field and wave electromagnetics, and improving the cultivation of comprehensive quality.
