This paper discusses the challenges faced in teaching data science in a business school. Business school students with diverse academic backgrounds present unique challenges for faculty teaching data science as data science is such an emerging filed that it pre-requires students to have had some knowledge in the areas of computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, and domain knowledge.
