Artificial intelligence represents the theory and direction of the development of computer technologies that imitate human intelligence, senses, and behaviour, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision making, and language translation. A neural network is a method in artificial intelligence that teaches computers to process data in a way inspired by the human brain using neurons and hidden layers. The developed software system for traffic sign recognition is based on a neural network. The programming languages used are Python and JavaScript. Vue.js and Vuetify were used for the development of the user interface, Flask for the server part of the application's functionality and communication, and TensorFlow for the creation of neural networks. This paper gives an overview of the basic concepts and history of artificial intelligence, neural networks, and a brief description of the implementation of the software system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
