The article focuses on a study examining the impact of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method on students' learning motivation and social character development within Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Conducted by researchers from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, the study utilized a mixed-methods design involving quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with educators and students from two schools. Findings indicate that PBL positively influences learning motivation and enhances dimensions of social character, particularly in religiosity, worship, responsibility, and tolerance.
