Summary: We show that the sum \(\mathbb{C}^n\ni w\mapsto \sum_{z\in F^{-1}(w)} \text{res}_z f/F -w\) of residues for the proper polynomial mapping \(F:\mathbb{C}^n \to\mathbb{C}^n\) and for the polynomial \(f: \mathbb{C}^n \to\mathbb{C}\) is a polynomial and give a new proof of the Euler-Jacobi formula.
