The authors have established four unified double series relations for the \(I\)-function of two variables by making use of the results obtained earlier by Carlitz and B. L. Sharma and following the usual method of expressing the \(I\)-function in terms of Mellin-Barnes integral and changing the order of integration and summation. Certain known results follow as special cases of the findings of this paper.
