Result: Improving the efficiency of the snow removal operating process through the implementation of efforts of cost structure optimization
Further Information
The reasons for the inefficient operation of snow removal equipment are considered and the sources for operating process optimization are specified. The problematic issue of the operating process optimization of the snow removal equipment is a multifaceted task. The solution to this issue requires an assessment of expediency of using all kinds of snow removal equipment, depending on a snowfall level, and an analysis of the operating process structure to reduce the share of idle mode and the use of the automated monitoring of operating process in order to increase the efficiency of using snow-grooming machines such as SM and PSS. In order to achieve that, using mathematical modeling, the parameters are determined at which the operating process of snow removal equipment is optimal. For the costs optimization of the snow removal equipment handling, the snow removal process is modeled. This model includes elements of the structure of workshift, machine performance and weather conditions. This affects the length of the railway tracks under snow-removal procedure to one degree or another as an effective feature; unless all factors are taken into consideration simultaneously, it is possible to properly assess the efficiency of a snow-grooming machine through the length of the railway track under snow-removal procedure. The actual impact of each of the factor variables is determined by means of the multiple correlation. The article also highlights the necessity to take into account the core results of production and economic activity of employees and their interests. By changing the approach to the bonus-award system, calculating productivity and carrying out maintenance and repair procedures, it is possible to optimize the cost structure.
