Summary: We introduce the notion of balanced \(n\)-color compositions, and consider the related enumeration problems. We also establish bijections with four other combinatorial objects, namely two types of Motzkin lattice paths, pairs of regular compositions with restricted parts, and regular compositions with a centered maximum.
