This bachelor’s thesis addresses a critical challenge in the book printing sector – the efficient and accurate calculation of printing costs and the streamlined management of orders, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and customer service quality. The main goal of the study is to develop an information system that automates book printing cost calculations, request submissions, management processes, and enables direct communication between clients and managers. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set: to analyze scientific literature and identify the key factors influencing printing costs, to develop a requirements specification, to design and implement an information system that meets these identified needs, and to validate its performance in a real environment. The research applied scientific literature analysis and synthesis to identify essential aspects of pricing, technology, security, and cost management. Based on these insights, the conceptual framework of the information system was developed, including data flow diagrams, conceptual and state models, as well as user interaction scenarios. A database model was designed to ensure reliable data storage and effective searching. The software solution was implemented using “React,” “JavaScript,” “Node.js,” “MySQL,” “Vite,” and “CSS,” and deployed on an “Ubuntu” server with “Apache” software, ensuring a stable and fast prototype. This system allows clients to instantly calculate printing costs, submit orders immediately, and communicate directly with the manager via an integrated messaging function. Particular attention was paid to security: two-factor authentication (2FA) and input validation measures, aligned with the National Cyber Security Center (NKSC) guidelines, provide increased resilience against cyber threats. The results indicate that the developed system can significantly contribute to more efficient order flow management, more accurate pricing, and improved client communication. In the future, this solution can be expanded with ...
