This report of Final Year Project aims to provide a comprehensive illustration on the process of building a data visualization system using Google Play Store App dataset in order to facilitate data analysis of Android market. The report presents the author’s work over the last two semesters. Visuals make it much more efficient to observe trends and patterns in data than numbers. Nowadays, with overwhelmed data being generated every day, data visualization has become a rapidly evolving method for better data understanding. It is widely used in different fields such as government, finance, marketing etc. Thus, Appropriate designed visualization tools or platforms play an important role when it comes to data analysis. In this project, an interactive multi-page web app was developed using Python for data visualization. The system can be used to generate insightful visual presentations of Google Play Store Apps dataset. A combination of 2-D and 3-D graphs were embedded into the web app, together with the interactive options for users to get ideal output. By providing meaningful insights on app market landscape, this system enables the business owners to make better decisions. The system developed can also be easily adjusted and used to visualize other similar datasets. Besides, this paper also serves as a guidance for students to learn how to build a basic web-based data visualization system using Python, plotly and dash framework, particularly. ; Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering)
