The present apparatus which are the products of the latest technological developments, have mechanical parts, electronic circuits and a control software. These apparatus are called mechatronic devices. The industrial companies needs qualified technicians for the production of these devices and using during production. The vocational colleges attendant to meet this need are insufficient on practical programming training. In this study, a planning has been done on how to add the Embedded Programming course on the Arduino which is lower priced, functional and not required extra circuits for application, as theoretical and practical to the mechatronics program’s curriculum. The pilot study was conducted in Kırklareli University Vocational School of Technical Sciences Mechatronics Program. In this context, theoretical and practical course content was prepared for 14 weeks. In the theoretical section, topics like input-output ports, interrupts, timers etc. Disclosed and supported by experiments. In the practical section, students are divided in the groups and preparation of a kind of robot as their choices is provided. In the course evaluation process, the robots prepared by students are scored by using the criteria like originality, mechanical design and programming quality. The benefit analysis of the course was conducted. As a result, the mechatronics students could implement the theoretical knowledge from varied courses on a project. The students able to observe the robot’s action due to changes on the program so they had more consistent knowledge. The questionaries’ results administered at the end of the year were evaluated and it has been observed that students have a very favorable opinion of the programming course. ; Son teknolojik gelişmelerin ürünü olan günümüz cihazları, mekanik aksama, elektronik devrelere ve bir kontrol yazılımına sahiptir.
