We analyze the process of fragment formation in small aggregates of LJ particles. Particular emphasis is put on the determination of the time scales of fragment formation and fragment emission. We find that some degree of thermalization takes place at these times, allowing us to calculate the caloric curve T (E) in the fragmentation regime.
