We described theoretical and experimental investigations of a dynamic optical filter based on a reflective holographic Bragg grating recorded in BaTiO3 and consisting of a number of phase-shifted sections. The reconfiguration from a pass- to a stop-band transfer function, the reconfiguration of the transfer function providing reflection of waves at one, two. or three wavelengths and the synthesis of a flat-top transfer function in real time are demonstrated. All these transformations were performed by phase-shift keying of sections of the holographic grating.
