Cet article étudie l'impact que le développement des modes d'interrogation peut avoir sur l'efficacité des systèmes de recherche documentaire. Il étudie dans quelle mesure ce développement des interrogations peut aider l'amélioration de l'efficacité des recherches documentaires. Pour cette étude, les expériences menées pour TREC-2 et TREC-3 concernant la réduction des interrogations sont présentées et étudiées.
