Dealing with large domain ontology in Semantic Grid computing environment coupled with the complexity involved is a daunting task. Ontology tailoring is an effort to cope up and minimize the complexities in dealing with large domain ontology and to provide services for sub-ontology reuse, extension, addition, merging, and replace. In this paper, we design the workflow orchestration of sub-ontology derivation and optimization schemes to develop a reusable workflow service which shall be available to designers as an integral part of a large e-workflow on a Semantic Grid. Preliminary results and verifications illustrate such to be a viable service entity in dealing with large domain ontology.
