Electronic publishing has served advantages over traditional publishing. Not only does electronic publishing save time and money during the publication process, but also additional media like video and audio as well as interactivity can enhance the quality of information presentation considerably. However, for the persons involved in the publication process, electronic publishing demands a redesign of their working process. The following paper analyses the new working process of authors and presents existing working environments for the creation of interactive multimedia documents.
