DIALECT 2 is an information retrieval systm based on distributed artifical intelligence (DAI) tools. This system has been built with a multi-experts architecture based on the backboard model. This architecture allows the coopera(ion of several experts which use different types of knowledge. The blackboard architecture deal with problem-solving. In order to design a blackboard system, we must solve some open problem which were not specified by the model. The control of a blackboard systems is one of them. In this paper, we describe the role and the architecture of the modules of DIALECT 2. We also propose a hybrid solution, for the control of DIALECT 2: the control of the linguistic parser is a hierarchical soution for the control of reformulation module is a blackboard control.
