Four different query term weighting schemes and their combinations are tested in output ranking: Collection Frequency and Record Frequency as often used, the Pairs Distance and Searcher Weighting being tested for the first time. Test results include the Precision Ratio at three levels of Recall and show combined schemes to be a little better thas single ones. Assessments are made of sytem requirements and user acceptance criteria.
