The aim of the study is to model a renewable hydrogen production and storage system for an offshore windfarm. This modelling will be performed via the use of a numerical code in Python. The objective of the study is to find an optimal regarding: scaling of the equipment, maximal transformation capacity (in MW/GW), maximal storage capacity, installation costs, hydrogen production costs, etc. The model will take into account characteristic electricity production curves of the wind farm, instantaneous electricity consumption and production at national level, and instantaneous costs of electricity (tracked hour by hour). The final objective is to optimise the storage capacity, thereby improve the overall efficiency of the production system, reduce the costs, and ultimately smooth and level off demand and production peaks.
