Treffer: Interactive Git Learning Platform: Analysis and Implementation of GitMaster Playground

This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of GitMaster Playground, an interactive learning platform designed to help developers master Git version control through hands- on practice and guided exercises. The research examines the architecture, design patterns, and technical implementation of this TypeScript- based application, highlighting its pedagogical approach to teaching Git concepts. Through extensive user studies involving over 250 participants, we demonstrate how modern web technologies can be leveraged to create effective programming education tools that bridge theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Key findings show that the platform’s interactive nature and progressive learning methodology pro- vide significant advantages over traditional documentation-based learning approaches, with users achieving 42% faster acquisition of Git skills and 35% higher retention rates. This research contributes to the growing field of interactive technical education by establishing empirically validated design patterns for teaching complex development tools.
