This article presents new automation products in the library science field. Dynix announced the launch of Corinthian Integrated Library System (ILS), a fourth-generation ILS designed specifically for academic and research libraries. Corinthian includes native Oracle support and advanced technologies such as Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, uPortal, Kerberos, Shibboleth, eCommerce, Linux, Unicode, and Java/Java 2 Enterprise Edition architecture. Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) announced that a new version of Connexion, the Windows-based interface to the cataloging service of OCLC, is available for download from the company's web site. The updated version enables users to search WorldCat using true keyword searching as well as Boolean operators and to enter multiple terms with a single index label. Other features include 90 indexes for searching and 50 indexes for browsing, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, and Arabic script cataloging, and a Spanish client interface. Sirsi Corp. announced that the CybraryN patron authentication solution is Standard Interchange Protocol 2-certified for the Sirsi Unicorn Library Management System.
