The object of this paper is to establish certain bibasic and multibasic hypergeometric summation formulae which are very general in nature. In order to obtain bibasic summation formulae one can also employ the difference operator \(\Delta\) defined as \[ \Delta u_k= u_k-u_{k-1}. \]
