Treffer: Probabilistic Analysis of Human Health Risks Linked to Procambarus Clarkii Consumption in Almaden Hg Mining District

The American crayfish (Procambarus clarkii) is considered a bioindicator of Potentially Toxic Elements (As, Hg, Cd, Pb, Cu, Zn, and Sb); on this basis, this study aims to assess the human health risk associated with its consumption by the local population in the Almadén mercury mining district, in terms of Hazard Quotient and Cancer Risk. A probabilistic Bayesian approach was applied based on the concentrations of each PTE in the sampled crayfish and survey data collected from the local population.
