Traditional methods of teaching mathematics often do not meet the needs of students entering higher education. In response to these shortcomings, the use of various educational technologies has been studied, aiming to make the learning of mathematics more dynamic. However, one of the most promising solutions is the integration of the Python programming language into mathematics teaching. This research aimed to develop a didactic proposal that uses Python to teach first and second-degree equations, thus improving the understanding and performance of students in the leveling process. The study was conducted under a quantitative approach and a positivist paradigm, using inductive and deductive methods along with an analytical-synthetic approach. The statistical-mathematical method was applied for data analysis, using Jamovi software for percentage calculation. The research, conducted online, employed surveys to collect opinions from 50 students out of a total of 186 enrolled in the Mathematics module for the first semester of 2024. The didactic proposal for teaching first and second-degree equations through Python in Google Colab received positive validation from experts in mathematics education. The specialists highlighted its solid didactic structure and its alignment with pedagogical principles that enhance students' understanding and skills.
